About Us
Paint Gwinnett Pink was born out of the hearts of two passionate women—Bobbie Menneg, breast cancer survivor and Northside Hospital's Women’s Support Group facilitator, and Jennifer Griffin, Northside Hospital Gwinnett's Oncology Community Outreach Navigator. Both women work closely with cancer patients, and began to realize patients were not only battling breast cancer, but also many other worries associated with a cancer diagnosis. The two ladies agreed the Gwinnett community could help make a difference, and the Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run was born!
The proceeds from Paint Gwinnett Pink provide the following:
Funding the latest diagnostic technology for breast cancer.
Providing access to mammograms and surgical consultations.
Patient access to comfort items needed during cancer treatment.
The Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run has always been about one thing—helping people in our community who are facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
We all know that breast cancer is scary and its impact is far-reaching, but by supporting Paint Gwinnett Pink, you have a chance to help raise awareness and fund the best care possible for cancer warriors in our community.
What is the Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run?
Northside Hospital Gwinnett hosts the Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, every October. The event is the largest 5K supporting breast cancer in Gwinnett County. It is a celebration of survivorship, while raising awareness and funds for breast cancer programs at Northside Hospital Gwinnett.
